Miniature on mother-of-pearl representing the portrait of Colonel Vicomte de Coutard*, in uniform adorned with medals (including the Order of the Legion of Honor), in an 18-carat solid gold frame, from the 1st Empire period at the beginning of the 19th century.
This miniature is in good general condition. High quality. The frame is probably a belt buckle element. No hallmark but has been tested with 18K gold.
A note: micro-scratches and wear of time, see photos.
