Lovely kiss of peace or osculatoire finely chiseled bronze silver, decorated with the Cross of Christ, surmounted by two cherubs and the Holy Spirit, then early nineteenth century.
The kiss of peace is in good condition.
To be noted: it is clean, some wear time, see photos.
* During the celebration of the Eucharist, the kiss of peace is the liturgical rite before the sacramental communion. This instrument, appeared in the Middle Ages, allows the faithful to transmit the kiss of peace without direct physical contact - often ambiguous - and reminding the religious meaning of the gesture performed.
