Lovely kiss of peace or osculatoire finely chiseled gilt bronze, decorated with Jesus Christ on the Cross with his feet to the Virgin Mary and Saint-Pierre, then early nineteenth century.
The kiss of peace is in good condition.

* During the celebration of the Eucharist, the kiss of peace is the liturgical rite before the sacramental communion. This instrument, appeared in the Middle Ages, allows the faithful to transmit the kiss of peace without direct physical contact - often ambiguous - and reminding the religious meaning of the gesture performed.
