Kiss of peace or osculatoire * argentea bronze decoration of a Christ (gilded bronze) on the cross, surrounded by a vegetable and floral frieze and stylized shells, XIXth century.
The kiss of peace is in good condition.

* During the celebration of the Eucharist, the kiss of peace is the liturgical rite which precedes sacramental communion. This instrument, appeared in the Middle Ages, and enables the faithful to transmit the kiss of peace without direct physical contact - sometimes ambiguous - and reminding the religious sense of accomplishment gesture.
