Chalice and its paten in solid silver and finely engraved silver, decorated with stylized foliage as well as clusters and a small cross, punched Minerve (1st title) and goldsmith P.Poussielgue-Rusand *, in his original box, Of nineteenth century.
This chalice is in good condition and is of remarkable quality. Punches on bowl, foot and paten, box signed.

PPR Punch with a heart, star, an anchor and a cross. A Parisian goldsmith known mainly for his liturgical objects: chalices, ciboriums, patens, monstrances. He is also the author of the high altar of the Church of the Holy Trinity of Paris and the crown of light of the Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris. He also worked for the Notre-Dame Cathedral in Amiens, where he produced the magnificent bronze altar of the Chapel of the Sacred Heart and the reliquary of the chief of Saint John the Baptist. During his lifetime he received the title of "Maker of the Holy Father the Pope". He formed Émile Evellin, a Breton goldsmith.
