Inlaid panel of eastern France signed * Rosenau, representing two men snuffing and smoking a pipe with the tobacco in the background, in a village in Corsica certainly, early twentieth century period.
This panel is in very good condition. It is signed lower left.
A note: some minor scratches from use.
French artist at the head of a marquetry workshop in his name at the Faubourg St. Antoine in the first half of the twentieth century. Known for his remarkable marquetry panels depicting landscapes of Britain, mountain, dressed in traditional characters and animals.
