Terracotta sculpture signed T. Hébert * and dated 1859 representing a humorous or satirical scene with a soldier sitting on the back of a pig and using it as a makeshift frame, from the 19th century.

This sculpture is in good condition. Signed and dated see photos.

* Théodore-Martin Hébert (1829 - 1913)

is a French sculptor. Théodore Hébert was a student of Jean-Louis Chenillion (1810-1875). He exhibited at the Salon of French Artists from 1848 to 1882. In a style sometimes influenced by Albert-Ernest Carrier-Belleuse, he was active until 1890. His works are little documented.
