Very nice bas-relief sculpture in terracotta depicting a nude young woman, attributed to Philippe Rouart * vintage twentieth century.

This relief is in good condition. It is not signed but comes from the artist's studio.

A report: two small slits in the bottom left, some stains, light wear time, see photos.

* Philippe Rouart (1904 - 1993):

ceramist, engraver and painter. Second son of Louis and Christine Rouart Lerolle. Paule Gobillard cousin. Illustrious descendant of two families of Impressionist painters as Lerolle Rouart that initiated his early childhood in pencil and brush in the middle of her aunts Julie Manet and Berthe Morisot, guided by his godfather and mentor Maurice Denis in which he will meet with whom he Desvallieres maintain strong ties of friendship until 1950. Exhibited in 1920 at the Salon du Champ de Mars, the Independents, the Salon des Tuileries, in 1926 the Galerie Druet, the Salon d'Automne. He participated with his uncle Ernest Rouart was organizing the Centennial Exposition in 1932 Manet, Edgar Degas than in 1937 and Berthe Morisot in 1941. He will also participate in the great adventure of Sacred Art.
