Shortly after 1900, Lachenal abandoned ceramics and turns to drama, confident in his studio in 1904 with his wife and son Raoul. He plays the comedy starring Sarah Bernhardt, with whom the rumor lent him a link. Remarried in 1913, he devoted himself to the dice in easel painting and pastel. (Source Musée d'Orsay)
