Beautiful tobacco jar terracotta representing Marshal Mac Mahon *, President of the French Republic (from 1873-1879), signed and dated J.Jousseaume 1873 of XIXth century.
This tobacco jar is in good condition generally: It is signed in two places.
A note: some cracks cooking within a few chips on the edge of the lid, but look at the pictures.
Earl Mac Mahon, Duke of Magenta, born July 13, 1808 at the castle of Sully (Saône-et-Loire) near Autun, died October 17, 1893 at the castle of Forests, Montcresson (Loiret), was a man French State, Marshal of France, and the third President of the French Republic, a position he held from 24 May 1873 to 30 January 1879.
