Superb and rare serpentine sculpture depicting a naked man * to ancient standing with fists clenched, perhaps a Greek or a Roman, vintage late nineteenth century.

This sculpture is in good condition. It is of a remarkable quality of sculpture and is very decorative.

A note: breakage and missing the tip of the thumb of the right hand, slight wear of time, see pictures.

* Serpentine is a family of minerals of silicates group. This gemstone is dark green mottled like the skin of a snake. Serpentine is used in jewelry as cut stone, or as an ornamental stone.
