Japanese print on paper Ukiyo-e * type, signed by the artist Kuniyoshi (1797 - 1861) name: Utagawa, representing courtisances (Oirans) in a rich interior, in the background a landscape with a river of Edo nineteenth century.

This print is in good condition. It is signed see photos.

A note: traces of restoration on paper (the three sides of paper with each portrait were glued together), some accidents and gaps, stains and jaunissures, well look at the pictures for defects.

* The ukiyo-e

Japanese term meaning "image of the floating world") is a Japanese artistic movement of the Edo period (1603-1868) includes not only an original and popular narrative painting, but mainly Japanese prints. The main themes are bijinga ( "Paintings of beautiful women"), Kabuki and yakusha-e (kabuki theater images and its actors), Shunga (erotic paintings), Landscape (f? kei-ga) and "views known "(meisho-e) and also the fauna and flora.
