Orthodox icon representing the scene of the Nativity of Christ, with the Virgin Mary lying in the background, two midwives taking care of and bathing the newborn Baby Jesus (evocation of the baptism and the human nature of Christ), iconography from the apocryphal gospels, border decorated with friezes of vines and two coats of arms, period? century.
This icon is in good condition.
A note: the panel is slightly curved, small slits and old wormholes on the wooden panel, some lack of paint in places, wear time, see photos.
