Orientalist oil on canvas depicting a view of the Bosphorus with the city of Istanbul / Constantinople and the St. Sophia Mosque in the background, with men seated at the water's edge and others rowing in a long boat, signed Bachmann *, in a gilded wood frame, vintage late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
This table is in very good condition and is of an excellent quality. It is signed lower left.

The Hagia Sophia is an old Christian church of Constantinople of the sixth century, which became a mosque in the fifteenth century under the leadership of Sultan Mehmed II. It is built on the historical peninsula of Istanbul.
