Oil on canvas depicting the portrait of an infantry officer: a colonel in full uniform wearing his epaulets of gold and his medal of the Legion of Honor. In the background on either side of his shoulders, the camp of his army in the countryside and some soldiers with a gun, of the First Empire period early nineteenth century.
