* The Salvator Mundi ("Savior of the World") is a theme of Christian art, inspired by Christ Pantocrator ("All-Powerful Christ" in ancient Greek), first popularized by Byzantine art, then, later by painters from Northern Europe. He represents Christ in glory, who gives his blessing with his right hand, with an orb in his left hand.
