Large oil on canvas depicting the portrait of a beautiful young woman from the Empire period wearing a gilded taffeta dress, seated on a bench with palmette armrests, in a plush interior decorated with a tapestry with laurel wreaths, signed Georges Meyer *, in a large gilded stucco wood frame with palm leaf friezes, from the 19th century.
This painting is in good condition and is very decorative due to its large size. Signed lower left. Its frame is also in good condition and is of very good quality.
A note: some slight accidents and lack of gilding on the frame, slight wear and tiny restoration (to the right of the woman's face) on the canvas, see photos.
