Oil on canvas in oval shape signed Robert Blot * representing a countryside landscape most certainly in Normandy, with trees along a small path, in a gilded wood frame, from the early twentieth century.

This painting is in good condition. Signed lower right.

A note: some slight accidents on the frame, slight yellowing on the paint (visible at sky level), see photos.

* Robert Henri Hyppolyte Blot (1881-1948)

(ec fr). Student of Jules Lefebvre, Tony Robert-Fleury and Albert Gosslein; member of the French Artists, he exhibited landscapes from 1913 to 1939: honorable mention in 1913, silver medal in 1923, gold medal in 1925 and gold medal at the Universal Exhibition of 1937. (Cf Bénézit)
