A landscape painter, he was born in Nancy in 1803 and died in Metz in 1890. His masters were Pioche in Metz, L. Coignet, Desoria and Hersent in Paris. He made his debut at the Paris Salon in 1831 until 1876 and at the Nancy Salon from 1835 with landscapes: Autumn Effect, Spring Effect, Moonlight...
