Oil on cardboard signed Paul Strecker* representing small groups of characters including a couple kissing in the foreground, lying on the lawn in a countryside landscape, most certainly a summer afternoon, from the 20th century.
This painting is in good condition. Signed lower right. A painting on the same theme entitled "Un Beau Dimanche" is kept at the Pompidou Museum in Paris (Inventory number JP 743 P).
Note: tiny scratches on the frame, slight wear over time, see photos.

In 1946 he began working as a set designer for the Berlin State Opera and, in the same year, became a lecturer at the Berlin University of the Arts and, soon after, a full professor.
