Oil on copper representing the scene of the Assumption of the Virgin, carried by a choir of angels towards the heavens; on earth the three Marys (Marie-Madeleine, Marie Salomé and Marie Jacobé) collect flowers on the white shroud of the Virgin, around them crowd multiple characters: the astonished and frightened apostles, Flemish school in the line of Rubens, 17th century period.
This painting is in good condition and is of exceptional quality. It uses the iconographic codes of the representation of the Assumption of the Virgin painted by Rubens and completed in 1626. The frame is posterior.
