Oil on canvas signed Anders Osterlind* representing a view of the landscape in the Traouïéro Valley** between Trégastel and Perros-Guirrec (Côtes d'Armor-Bretagne), with the hiking path winding among the trees and Breton vegetation, from 20th century period.
This painting is in good condition, it is very decorative. Signed and dated 1911. Annotated on the back on the frame.
** The Traouïero Valley (Breton word meaning valleys) in Perros-Guirec offers a unique getaway near the Pink Granite Coast following the course of the Kerougant stream. The Traouïero are in fact two deep valleys which symbolize a natural border between the municipalities of Perros-Guirec and Trégastel.

is a French painter. During this entire period, Anders Österlind lived with his parents either in Paris, in Brittany (Bréhat, Penvern), or in Indre (Gargilesse-Dampierre). In the circle of his parents' friends, in Brittany he met the philosopher Ernest Renan, the art critic Armand Dayot, Charles Le Goffic, the poets Edmond Haraucourt and Max Jacob, and the painter Maxime Maufra.
From 1907, he began to sell his painting, particularly in Sweden. He frequented the artist community of Montparnasse and, from 1918-1919, among the Montparnasse artists who would form the School of Paris; he counts among his friends Michel Kikoine, Amedeo Modigliani, etc. Anders Österlind is above all a landscaper. In search of light and emotion, he travels through many regions of France and also stays abroad. He draws his inspiration from the Paris region (Versailles, Moret-sur-Loing, Rambouillet forest), in Northern Brittany (Penvern, Ploumanac'h, Tonquédec, Bréhat, Lannion, Saint-Quay-Portrieux), in Finistère (Bénodet , Portsall), in Normandy (Honfleur, Barfleur, Yport, Martagny, etc.), in the South (Arles, Cagnes-sur-Mer, Aix-en-Provence, Vaison-la-Romaine), in Creuse, Corrèze , Sarthe and Touraine, in the Alps, in Lozère (Florac) and in Cantal (Thiézac), in Charente, in the Basque Country. He also stayed in Tunisia, the Netherlands, Stockholm and Copenhagen. Österlind is a member of the Salon d'Automne, the Salon des Indépendants, a member of the committee of the Salon des Tuileries, vice-president of the Salon of Drawing and Water Painting.
