* Ernest Victor Hareux (1847-1909): painter of genre, landscape and wildlife, a pupil of Levasseur. Debut at the Salon of 1868. Member of French Artists from 1883. It produces sheet metal full of charm and a harmonious color. He received the award in 1904 Rosa Bonheur. We owe to this artist paint a treaty that enjoys long in favor of bourgeois clientele willing to engage in this art without resorting to the teachings of a master, why Hareux name is familiar to many people. A pupil of Busson, Levasseur and Lawn, he combines the solidity of forms inspired by Courbet to variations in lighting, scenery by moonlight have soft colors in a vigorous touch. He exhibited at the Salon from 1868 to 1908. It is also, in the tradition of Rosa Bonheur, a great animal painter, author of a treatise on painting in oils, he led a long private art classes.
