Oil on canvas depicting a fun for a young child to the pot after a pressing need Lanfant signed Metz * of XIXth century.
This oil is in good condition. It is signed on the pot (see last photo of another table signed by this artist). It bears the label of the Art Gallery R.Tuffier Les Andelys.

Pupil of Ary Scheffer in Paris, he exhibited at the Salon from 1843 to 1866, street scenes or kindergartens populated mischievous kids and young dogs. He moved to Le Havre in 1868, but is often moved to Paris in his studio on the Boulevard des Italians. He carried himself in lithography a number of his works.
