Very nice oil on canvas depicting a landscape, certainly Dauphinois, a shepherd with his sheep to accompany his cottage sheltered under a beautiful tree, a small village in the background, signed Ravanat * Barbizon School of XIXth century .

self, Achard advised by the painter he accompanies on the ground, he exhibited at the Salon in 1832 in Grenoble "Souvenir de Vienne" and sends several years, as well as exhibitions of the Society of Friends of the Arts City , landscapes of the Alps, Dauphine and Provence. He exhibited at the Salon in Paris, from 1843 to 1845. After a trip to Italy, where there is no known work, he returned to Grenoble in 1846 and was appointed assistant curator of the museum, professor and director of the art school. In 1880 he retired to join Proveyzieux where students, artists and fans Grenoble. His paintings, a powerful and energetic performance, keep a curious sculptural character.
