* Madeleine Desroseaux

is the pseudonym of Florentine Monier (1873-1939), poet and novelist Brittany. Born in Rennes in 1873, she published early poems in the local press. February 4, 1895, she married Andre Degoul in Rennes. The same year, in July, the couple founded The Belltower Breton bilingual literary journal published until 1915. Gather around them many artists and intellectuals from countries such as Loeiz Herrieu, Anatole Le Braz, Theodore Botrel, Alphonse de Chateaubriand, Charles Le Goffic or Jean-Pierre Calloc'h. They are rewarded for all their writings by President Raymond Poincaré, July 6, 1913. Upon publication in 1930, his poems Breton Hours are crowned by the French Academy. From 1934, regular collaboration with the Revue des deux Mondes dedicates his reputation. Madeleine died in Lorient Desroseaux May 3, 1939. M. and A. Desroseaux Degoul are buried in Lorient, Carnel cemetery.
