* Mannerism is an artistic movement of the period from 1520 (death of the painter Raphael) in 1580, one initiated by the sack of Rome in 1527 that shook the humanist Renaissance ideal reaction. Mannerism is a reaction to the perfection attained during the High Renaissance in the representation of the human body and in the mastery of the art of perspective (theory Alberti). As such, it was often called mannerism as "anti-art Albertian" including Pisanelli. Some artists have sought to deliberately break with the correct proportions, color harmony and the reality of space, so as to produce a new emotional and artistic effect.
