Very nice pastel painting representing a landscape of tall trees in autumn, with characters walking, most certainly in a park, signed P. Forest *, from the 20th century.
This pastel is in good condition as well as its gilded frame. It is signed lower right, it is under glass.
A note: some small accidents and losses on the frame, especially on the gilding, the paper seems slightly warped, see photos.
painter born in Nice (Ec fr). He made oil paintings but was above all a specialist in pastel, representing landscapes and seascapes. Between 1931 and 1943, he exhibited flowers and seascapes at the Salon des Indépendants, where he became a member.
