Oil on canvas depicting a marine landscape with a view of a rough sea waves, called back "Sea of October", painted by Louis-Joseph * Anthonissen, vintage late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
This oil is in good condition. It is not signed but comes from the sale of the painter's workshop (date of sale back to the chassis). Its setting is recent.
A note: slight cracks on the canvas, slight traces of restoration, see photos.
(Ec Belgian). Studied at the Academy of Antwerp and the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. It outlines of landscapes and southern Algeria in Paris, the National 1897-1912 and Independents. (Bénézit extract).
