This table is in good condition and is of exceptional quality. It is very decorative because of its large size.
A similar picture is kept at the Museum of Fine Arts of Rennes. It is entitled "PILGRIMAGE IN BRITAIN; FISHERMEN A KNEE WITH A CHILD TO THE CHURCH" (painted last quarter of the nineteenth century) and presents in the right side chapel built on a rock overlooking the sea The picture we offer is. likely a preparatory version thereto.
