This oil on canvas is in good condition. It is signed lower left. A lounge label is affixed to the rear of the table.

Landscape, painting by Maurice defines buffet by its themes, low tides, landscapes of Provence, ports and buildings. Painter and lithographer born in Sables d'Olonne, he studied fine arts in Paris, a prisoner escaped and he hid in Paris, where he devoted himself exclusively to painting. First exhibition in Paris at the end of the war in 1946. He exhibited in the USA in 1961 and in 1964, then it becomes antique. He participated in numerous exhibitions: the Salon d'Automne in 1954, the Salon des Independants, the National Fine Arts Latina Lands which he is respectively member.
