Oil on canvas in a gilt frame, representing the landscape of a sunny farmyard with chickens, a donkey and a woman sitting on the wall of a stair climbing, signed Charles Caussade *, of XIXth century.
This oil on canvas is in good condition. It is signed lower left. The gilded frame is later.
A note: traces of dirt, micro-scratches and gaps around the edges of the frame (see red arrows), wear time, see photos.
Landscape painter born in Bordeaux in 1837, student of Carrier and Ch.Tournemine he exhibited at the Paris Salon in 1865 to 1870, some landscapes. (Excerpts from Bénézit).
