Oil on panel rerpésentant characters in a farmyard, with both peasants and their donkey speaking with a woman, signed Eug. * Block, in a gilt frame stucco, XIXth century.
This table is in good condition. It is signed lower left.
A note: some accidents and lacks the frame, scratches on the paint (in the clouds left), small holes in the panel, see photos.
(Belgian Ec). He was in Ghent students of Van Huffel history painter and the genre painter Braekeler. Exhibited in London in 1845 and in 1867. He was curator of the Museum of Antwerp. (From Bénézit)
