Important large decorative vase (127cm) in Imari porcelain with rich decoration enhanced with gilding of landscapes: flying herons above ponds, other herons among flowering trees, many flowers, bamboo and plant motif, collar and lower part decorated floral motifs and stylized arabesques, on a wooden base, from Japan, vintage late 19th century.
This vase is in good condition. It is very decorative due to its large size. The wooden base is sealed.
A note: a crack at the neck, some enameling defects as well as baking in the decorations (some with decoration from above / original), some slight chips on the edge of the collar, wear of time, see photos ( see red arrows).
