Saucer in polychrome Chinese porcelain with so-called Imari decoration (underglaze blue, iron red and gold enamel) of a flower garden with butterflies, from China, Qianlong period (1736-1795) 18th century.

This saucer is in good condition, nice quality.

Please note: a visible firing crack on the base (see red arrow), small hairs, slight enamel defects, traces of time, see photos.

* Of Japanese origin, Imari porcelain was produced in the former province of Hizen on the island of Kyushu, mainly in the kilns of the city of Arita. Until the end of the 18th century, porcelain from this province was exported from the port of Imari, which gave its name to this production. This decoration was imitated by China from around 1720.
