Ceramic vase, decorated with flowers and foliage intermingled signed E.Lachenal * Art Nouveau period late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.

This vase is in good condition. It is signed at the bottom on the side and bottom.

A report: some missing enamel, normal wear see photos.

* Edmond Lachenal (1855-1948): artist, painter and sculptor Edmond Lachenal was especially remarkable ceramist. He worked for ten years in Theodore Deck which he quickly became foreman before moving to his account in the Paris suburbs from 1880. He first produced pottery in the style of Iznik, then, from 1890, he devoted himself to sandstone and sandstone with slub, always maintaining a taste for Japanese style shapes and decorations. Shortly after 1900, Lachenal abandoned ceramics and turns to drama, confident in his studio in 1904 with his wife and son Raoul. He plays the comedy starring Sarah Bernhardt, with whom the rumor lent him a link. Remarried in 1913, he devoted himself to the dice in easel painting and pastel. (Source Musée d'Orsay)
His technical mastery allowed him to deal with all varieties ceramics, its scenery and subjects, always in a spirit naturalist are endless. He is particularly fine enamel, appearance and texture extremely soft due to the use of hydrochloric acid.
