Majolica tobacco jar * or slip Sarreguemines, representing two hounds pursuing a rabbit rushes into its burrow at the foot of a tree, titled "Too Late!" Signed "Majolica Sarreguemines" of XIXth century.

A report: lack cover pot, breaks in the rabbit legs, paws and tail white dog (slot on its front leg), repair on one leg behind the other dog, small égrenures on the edge pot, well look photos (with red arrows).
It is customary to call Majolica, earthenware decorated ornamental, whatever the nature of their dough. A Sarreguemines 1870 we began manufacturing under the name decorative pieces made of dough ferruginous limestone, covered with colored enamel tin. The Majolica Sarreguemines are highly sought after and copied price of fame.
