St-Brieuc. Son of René Tostivint. In Oran, he entered the Beaux-Arts in 1949. From 1950, he learned the trade from a Spanish ceramist, Bartolomé Jorba, a Spanish political refugee, friend of Salvator Dali and the architect Gaudi. He then returned to St Brieuc and became a renowned ceramist. He had his workshop there on rue Fardel from 1958. He subsequently moved to Binic in 1968.
