is a French sculptor and ceramist. He studied at the Regional School of Fine Arts in Angers—where he was taught by Brunelair—then moved to Paris where he attended the Académie Julian and joined the École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts where he was a student in the studios of Louis-Ernest Barrias and Jules Coutan. From 1901, after his studies, Charles Maillard exhibited regularly at the Salon des artistes français. He received several medals and honorable mentions. Also known as a ceramist - among others for the national manufacture of Sèvres (contract of October 15, 1926) - the Breton theme appears in his work from 1926.
