Beautiful vase glazed stoneware vase, signed J.Coville * vintage twentieth century.
This vase is in very good condition.
born 20 March 1936 in Sèvres. After a career as an aeronautical engineer, he abandons his desk studies to devote himself to ceramics. In 1976, Jacky Coville buys in Biot, workshop Roland Brice was the ceramist Fernand Léger. Jacky Coville exhibited since the 1970s, in France and around the world. His works have been presented since 1976 in Japan, Germany, Belgium and Italy are regularly exposed. With many awards, such as the Gold Medal of Faenza or that of Vallauris, his sculptures are often exposed in situ, such as the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Nice or the fountain of Saint-Sulpice in Paris but also acquired by major institutions (FRAC Ile-de-France, Bibliothèque Nationale de France, Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris, Musée de Sèvres ...).
