Very nice earthenware dish of northern France, depicting a bouquet of flowers surrounded by arabesques central to Bérain * antique eighteenth century.
This dish has been broken and restored.

* The setting "on Berain" inspired designs of Jean Berain, decorator of Louis XIV. Around a central theme, usually a mythological character, is built perfectly symmetrical network arabesques, enriched by architectural elements, caryatids, busts and fantastic animals. Most often, this scene is in monochrome blue.
