Very nice service, including a cup, two saucers and a jug (or milk jug) Paris porcelain, signed * Halley, decorated in gilt plant and floral friezes, First Empire period early nineteenth century.
This service is in good condition. A cup and saucer are signed Halley.
A note: micro-égrenures on the edge of a saucer, light wear to the gilding in places, tiny default enameling on the pot, hair inside the cup, see pictures.
is quoted in 1793 as earthenware rue Montmartre at No. 6, the shop at the corner of Boulevard Montmartre was a beautiful location in the heart of the luxury shopping on the Grands Boulevards. Halley is also known for providing the porcelain one of the luxury hotels in Paris early nineteenth century, the Grand Hotel Richelieu. Halley known for its quality porcelain worked with the famous Manufacture Nast.
