was born around 210 or 220 in Huesca, Aragon, Spain. He was martyred on a gridiron, in 258 in Rome. Saint Laurent is often represented in his martyrdom nearly a grill or attached to it among other deacons, on or next to a rectangular grill, located on tenterhooks, holding a palm, and possibly a censer other accessories of worship.
