This lithograph is in good condition and its frame. She is under glass. Marked in the top "Copyright 1928 by L. Icart Paris" and "Edited by the Modern Engravers 194 rue de Rivoli Paris".

: we know of this artist many etchings in colors representing mostly elegant, inspired by Pierre Louys and Spanish, from the books of Merimee. He also illustrated "The libertine libertine" Colette, the two "Faust" Goethe. (see Bénézit)
Trained in engraving, he presents his original works at the Salon des comicistes: his portraits of women, "Parisiennes", begin to seduce the public; he is compared to Paul César Helleu and Manuel Robbe. During the Great War, he is an airplane pilot, flying in several air missions but does not stop drawing. In 1920, he exhibited at the Simonson Gallery (Paris), then, in 1922, in New York, Belmaison Gallery, more than thirty paintings expressing an art deco style. Following this exhibition, his engravings will experience some success in America until 1932. His work includes more than 500 engravings. He has also participated in the illustration of thirty books, including a good number of erotic.
