Engraving etching representing a view of the Moulin de la Galette in Paris, with some hens in the foreground, signed Eug. Béjot *, vintage early twentieth century.

This engraving is in good condition. She is glass. Signed lower right.

A note: slight wear on the frame, some tiny spots and yellowing on the paper, see photos.

* Eugène Béjot (1867-1931)

is a French painter and engraver. He studied at the Julian Academy. In 1893 he became a partner of the National Society of Fine Arts and exhibited at the Salon until 1912. He received a silver medal at the 1900 World's Fair. In 1908, he was elected a member of the Royal Society of Fine Arts. Painter-Etchers and Engravers in London. Between 1899 and 1902, he collaborated with the magazine Cocorico. He lives a life row and realizes many boards on Paris and its bridges. He is in contact with Félix Bracquemont, leader of the aquafortists, he is also the friend of the engraver Félix Buhot and the writer Georges Bataille.
