Japanese prints on Ukiyo-e * type paper, probably representing mythological scenes with a fiery demon pursuing a sage in a mountain landscape on the left; right, characters (gods and demons) fighting in a temple, XIXth century.

This print is in good condition. She was framed recently, she is under glass. Inscriptions in the margins. These are probably pages of a print book (traces of inscriptions in the central margin)

* The ukiyo-e

Japanese term meaning "image of the floating world") is a Japanese artistic movement from the Edo period (1603-1868) comprising not only an original popular and narrative painting, but also and especially Japanese prints. the main themes are Bijinga ("Paintings of pretty women"), Kabuki and yakusha-e (images of Kabuki theater and its actors), Shunga (erotic paintings), Landscapes (f? kei-ga) and "famous views" (Meisho-e) and also the fauna and flora.
