Engraving (with color highlights in watercolor and gouache) representing a geographic map of planisphere signed RY Creston *, Les Bretons dans le Monde, dated 1938, from the 20th century.

This engraving is in good condition. Dated and signed lower left.

Captioned in Breton showing the influence of Brittany around the world (navigators, privateers, explorers, missionaries, etc.). Two phylacteries give the spirit of this planisphere: "Where the sun rises, there are Bretons"; "For the honor and fame of the seafarers, country runners, and peasants of Brittany who carried on all the lands and on all the seas of the world the fame and the honor of their country".

A similar engraving is kept in the collections of the Musée de Bretagne in Rennes.

A note: some small tears on the left edge of the card, some yellowing and stains on the edges, wear of time, see photos.
