Set of altar cannons* from the Gospel of Saint John composed of a triptych central panel and two side panels, from the 19th century.
These guns are in good condition. The central panel folds in three.
A note: some yellowing on the paper, tiny tears on the edges, wear of time, see photos.

* At the time of the mass in Latin back to the people, three paintings written in Latin and sometimes decorated by hand, were arranged on the altar, one on the left included the text of the prologue of the Gospel according to Saint John, which the priest said at the end of the mass. In the center a table on three columns included the Gloria, the Creed and the prayers of consecration On the right the third contained the prayers of blessing of the water and the Washbasin. Often these guns are extremely decorated, and sometimes even by hand. The use of the central canon sometimes remains for the “Mass of Paul VI” (or “ordinary form of the Roman rite”) celebrated in Latin.
