Bulb in sterling silver holy oil Minerva, 19th


Dropping holy oil, sterling silver engraved OI on the body and decorated with a cross on the lid, punched Minerva (1st title) and punch a goldsmith, of XIXth century.

This bulb is in good condition. The punches are a little tired.

A note: some tiny bumps and dents on the body, micro-scratches usagae to see pictures.


* Ampullae

Small containers of silver or tin, covered, used for the anointing of holy oil. They are three in number, identified by an inscription: Oleum Catechumenorum (OC / oil for baptism) also called Oleum Sanctum (OS), Oleum Infirmorum (IO / for extreme unction) and Sancta Chrisma (SC / chrism) .
