* Oval reliquary paperolle representing different places of the presence of Jesus in the Holy Land; marked "Cross of Olivers, Former loco Flagella DNJC, NS said the Pater, Mount of Oliveiers, Gethsemani, Crypta Agonia Gethsemani, Exo captured DNJC loco", with a small wax seal, XIXth century.

This reliquary is in good condition and its blackened wooden frame.

A note: some scenery move slightly, the oil had to sink a little, slight wear on the frame, see photos.

* Paperolle: Hand Technique of winding narrow strips of paper to create various shapes and ornamental motifs. The paperolle is a very old technique that was used in the Middle Ages in poor churches to imitate the decorations filigree gold or silver. The achievements were often called paperole reliquary reliquaries. Paperolle is a term derived from paper. It includes not only the technical but also the realization of paper. The name rolled paper is sometimes used as a synonym.
